The difficulty with the departure criteria is to select the right parameter value for the appropriate action:
1. To define the average flight path which is only used for publication, definition of the average track ( selection of the right radial , noise abatment ....) you use the 3 values of the bank angle 15 °, 20°, 25 ° depending on the distance / altitude to the DER
2. To design the turn protection area the only bank angle to be used is 15°.
In your example, it means:
to define and draw the departure nominal track : you take at 3000 ft of height above DER a bank angle of 20 °
to draw the protection area , turn radius , wind spiral ... you take 15°. |
